Our Statement:
sgfleet is committed to achieving environmental and social sustainability to aid in the preservation of the Earth’s natural resources. sgfleet remains committed to continually improving our environmental and social sustainability performance. We monitor our emissions and benchmark the data on an annual basis, with our target being a 5% reduction in Co2 emissions by 2020. We measure our output relative to the dimensions of our business, being the number of vehicles managed on behalf of customers.
An Environmental and Sustainable Future:
With 97 percent of our emissions being produced by energy, travel and paper, our reduction strategies are clearly focused in these areas.
Energy: With such a substantial decrease in our Energy usage achieved in 2009, our focus will turn to focused strategies to achieve further marginal improvements in this area. To achieve this we will work towards decreasing the amount of energy used in peak times.
Air Travel: Air travel is a focus area for reduction and by the use of video conferencing and forward planning, we are confident of reducing air travel to achieve a reduction in emissions.
Paper: Paper usage has reduced through the introduction of double sided printing and a heightened awareness amongst staff of the impact on the environment when printing documents. Further exploration is being undertaken on document management processes, systems and storage to reduce our ongoing consumption.
Fuel: Our focus will turn to vehicle selection and reducing utilisation by encouraging offsite and flexible working arrangements.
